I take this opportunity to introduce to you Project Jaagriti, an initiative, started in Feb. 2009, to impart basic education and bring about a productive change in the lives of poor and underprivileged children in Dwarka, New Delhi (INDIA).
What makes the project special, different and unique?
1. The project provides non-formal education to poor children of construction workers, at their door step and Children don't have to travel anywhere.
2. The project not only focuses on right education but also on skill building, health and nutrition.
3. As Jaagriti means Awakening, the project also aims to awaken the youth all over the world, how a change can be brought about and motivate the youth to take action for the welfare of the poor.
4. It's an entirely Volunteer driven project and has been started and being managed by a team of 7-8 young volunteers, who are busy working/studying but are dedicated to bring about a change in the society.
