We are Slum Soccer, a social for profit organization . Our USP is using football as a vehicle to combat social stigmas like homelessness, poverty, drug abuse and HIV .Based out of Nagpur we plan to spread our wings in Chennai . Music and sports as they say transcends barriers of human divide and thus was born “ HAVE A BALL” , a fundraiser and awareness concert . LA PONGAL : is a band based in Chennai, performing a unique style of music which combines ancient south Indian folklore and popular culture. It is an awesome collaboration between an array of contemporary musicians and authentic folk musicians from Tanjavur. This reverberating stage act elevates the act of watching, into experiencing the kaleidoscope of costumes, movement, and the shimmering scape of music, dance, entertainment and art all rolled into one. La Pongal takes inputs from Tamil folk music traditions such as Nayaandi Melam, Kuravan kurathi aattam, Themmangu and Karagaatam and incorporates influences from around the world, while giving it a new-age electronic twist. So with the blend of all these world music elements and Tamil folk songs, arranged with transcultural rhythms, La Pongal creates a class of sound that is its very own.
