About Nareshwadi
Nareshwadi is school of 500 children from underprivileged families
attend Nareshwadi's schools and live on campus. Ninety percent of them
come from the local Warli, Kokani, Katkari and Dodhi tribal communities.
Many live in interior villages with no schooling available. The rest
are children with
single or absent parents, or are from HIV-infected and -affected families.
Youth For People is just one of the facilitator to the school. School is run by Girivanvasi Educational Trust (GVET).

How to get to Nareshwadi Learning Centre
By road. Take the Western Express Highway out of Mumbai. Continue on
the National Highway number 8. About 20 kms North of Charoti Toll, turn
to the left/west at Dundhalwadi, following the sign to Dahanu. 4 km
after the turn off, you will see a stone compound wall on your right.
You are at Nareshwadi!
By train. Take a suburban/express train
from Churchgate, Mumbai Central, Dadar or Bandra stations to Dahanu Road
Station. Then take a local bus or shared rickshaw and ask for
Nareshwadi, near Dundhalwadi, 4 km off the Western Express Highway.
Nareshwadi will be on your left.
About Youth For People
Youth for People - Touching Lives is a group of young and like-minded
enthusiasts, who have been active since the 7/11 train bomb blast in
Mumbai. They group has a passion and desire to give back to the society
what they got from it – a respectful existence.
YFP believes
that youth is blessed with the power to do anything and everything and
is on a mission to mobilize the Youth energy towards the betterment of
our society by serving the city through regular blood donations,
supporting cancer patients and striving to solve problem of any
